Orvis - "99", 7'6" 2/1 6wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an Orvis "99", 7'6" 2/1 6wt impregnated bamboo rod. Good used condition, although the tip has a small chip in the cane between the 2nd and 3rd snake guides down from the tip top. This chip would probably merit an invisible wrap before fishing. Medium toned cane with red wraps (some are starting to show their age). Ferrules fit perfectly, both sections are full length, and the tip has a slight fish fighting set. Serial #32880, made in 1962. The cork is bright and slightly ridged, it may have been cleaned at some point. Down-locking reel seat over light wood spacer. It feels like it will cast nicely with a 5wt line. Priced as a bit of a project, although it shouldn't take much to get it back on the water. Sold in the original bag (3-partition) with the original rod paper attached and aluminum tube with 90% data label.
