For sale here is a Per Brandin 834-2df, 8'3" 2/2 4wt hollow built bamboo rod. 6-strip construction, the rod is in excellent+ / near mint condition. Medium flamed cane with oxidized guides and red agate stripping guide. Wraps are transparent cinnamon with dark accents. All sections are straight, full length and serialized (3/08). Micro-Swiss ferrules fit perfectly, and the female is fitted with a Micarta & cork ferrule plug. 6.4" grip is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with a blued cap & ring reel seat over mortised mahogany spacer. A bit of bluing loss to the butt cap is the only thing keeping this rod from being described as mint. It has been lawn casted, but I see no evidence the rod has ever seen water. Scripted weight is 3.159oz but my scale reads a hair over (3.224oz). A positive action dry fly rod, on the faster side of medium fast. A fabulous example of one of Mr. Brandin's more popular tapers. Sold in the original bag and brass capped tube with canvas outer tube protector.
