For sale here is a Hardy Perfect 2 7/8" fly reel in excellent used condition. This is a pre-WWII reel featuring a dark leaded finish, flawless agate line guard and ribbed brass foot. RHW only. Mechanically the reel is quite smooth, and the tensioner works as intended. Minor signs of use, but the leading is retaining well, and the rim knurling remains clear and crisp. The ribbed brass foot may have been lightly filed down at some point; the length appears unchanged but the ribbing at the ends looks like it was buffed down. A beautiful example of the pre-war 2 7/8" size, best with a 3/4wt line. Sold in an aftermarket drawstring pouch.
