Hardy - Perfect 3 7/8" "Taupo" Fly Reel

For sale here is a scarce original run Hardy 3 7/8" "Taupo" fly reel. A special size, produced in a limited run between 1958-1962. 3 7/8" diameter with a spool width of 15/16". RHW check with rim mounted tensioner. Gray enamel finish has signs of use throughout, and the spool arbor has rough/flaking enamel. Ribbed "canoe" brass foot appears to be original, but there are small file marks on either end. Also, the foot screws appear to be replacements. Weight is 9.24oz. A nice user example of the rare original Taupo.
