For sale here is a Linnea Rods model 845-2 AP, 8'4" 2/2 5wt, hollow built bamboo rod in very good used condition. The "AP" is a nod to noted author & angler Andre Puyans who had a hand in designing this model. Built on a honey-colored blank with oxidized guides wrapped in transparent tan windings. Blued ferrules fit perfectly. All sections are full length and both tips have slight fish fighting sets. Signature wraps at 16"/18"/20"/22" from the butt. 6.5" grip is soiled but smooth, and the rod is fitted with a blued cap & ring reel seat over varnished walnut spacer. Minor bluing loss to the ferrules and the slide band, with considerable bluing loss to the butt cap. Weight is 3.53oz, the rod feels light in the hand. Dry fly action, on the faster side of medium fast. It turns over a DT5 with precision. A well-used but well cared for rod, sold in the original bag and tube with maker's label affixed.
