For sale here is a scarce San Jose Thompson no. 100 fly reel in very good used condition. RHW. All original with ribbed brass foot, bright frame w/ black spool and winding plate. The handle grasp spins freely, and the dual tensioners work as intended with strong resistance. The reel is fitted with the ingenious Thompson dual drag system, and the winding plate bears the early engraving with "Manufactured by Floyd T Lovens, Inc - San Jose California". Mechanically tight with a few nicks & scratches throughout. A fine example of the early model 100. 3 3/8" diameter with a spool width of 0.65". This one comes loaded with line and backing, and packs into a suede drawstring pouch.
