Winston, R.L. - Vintage Fly Reel - 5/6

For sale here is a Winston Vintage fly reel set, made by Hodge & Sons. This is the 5/6 size, 3.25" diameter with a reel width of 1.22". Capacity is for a DT6 + 100. Very good used condition, set up LHW but it is possible to swap the retrieve. Mounting marks to the foot and a bit of rim rash. The spare spool is in excellent shape. Made of anodized aluminum with bronze bearings and nickel silver accents. Counterbalanced S-handle and ported spool/side plate. Spools are easy to interchange, and the drag can be adjusted internally. A handsome package, these sets included a spare spool and oil reservoir. All pieces are present, although the dropper on the oil bottle is detached from the lid and the foam lining on the presentation case appears to have been replaced. The wooden box is in very good shape, with the Winston badge displayed prominently on the lid.
