Hardy - Perfect 3 1/4" Widespool Fly Reel

For sale here is a Hardy Perfect 3 1/4" widespool fly reel. Excellent used condition except for a tiny hairline crack in the thinnest part of the winding plate next to the handle. I have no way of knowing for sure, but I suspect this crack has been there since the handle was installed. Leaded finish, ribbed brass foot and revolving line guard. Tensioner works as intended, and the reel remains mechanically tight. Normal wear to the finish and a few nicks and scratches but otherwise excellent. Weight is 9.88oz loaded with an 8wt line. JS initials on the winding plate (Jimmy Smith). A nice pre-WWII Hardy Perfect wide spool reel. An appropriate size for single hand steelhead/salmon fishing, or a light switch setup.
