For sale here is a Bill Blackburn 8' 2/2 6wt hollowbuilt bamboo rod in excellent+ used condition. Based on the Paul Young Para 15 taper, but hollow fluted. #2814. Made as a special request, the rod features medium tempered cane with bright snake guides and carboloy stripper wrapped in transparent ochre silks with black accents. Blued ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are straight and full length. The 6" cigar grip has plastic on it, although the rod has clearly seen a few days on the water, evidenced by soiling at the first ring. Blued cap & ring reel seat over mortised burl spacer. Weight is 4 1/8oz. The rod is light in the hand with medium fast 6wt action. Not overly parabolic, but you can feel its genetics come to life at about 30' of line. I suspect it will cast a DT7 as well. Sold in the original bag and brass capped tube. From the collection of Thomas H. Clark.
