For sale here is an 8' 5 weight, 3-piece / 2-tip hollowbuilt quad made by Per Brandin. Serial #2/99. Very good used condition, the rod has been fished sparingly and well cared for. Medium tempered cane with slightly matte finish. Snake guides and fine agate stripping guide, wrapped in transparent jade green silk with dark accents. All sections are straight, full length & serialized, and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. Ferrule fits are perfect. Knurled nickel silver winding check, cork check, and reel seat hardware. The 6.5" grip is slightly soiled but smooth, and consists of alternating 1/2" & 1/4" rings. The only condition notes I have are some bluing loss to the nickel silver parts, and the reel seat spacer has a small nick in the varnish that looks like it would clean up easily. Weight is 3.85oz. Medium-fast action, a purpose built dry fly rod. An excellent example of Brandin's work, and a taper that doesn't often come to market. Sold with the original bag and tube with data label, and canvas rod tube protector.
