For sale here is a beautiful 7'6" Carlson "Four", 3-piece / 2-tip for a 4/5wt bamboo rod made by Dana Gray. Excellent++ condition, lawn cast only. Serial #097-4753, made in 2009. Medium tempered cane with oxidized guides wrapped in blood red silk with black accents. U-shaped hook keeper with squared bakelite winding check leading in to the 5.5" western style grip (slightly squared at the top). The grip is clean and smooth. Blued cap & ring reel seat over mortised mahogany spacer. Both the butt cap and tube collar bear the makers roll stamp. All sections are straight, full length & serialized, and the ferrule fits are perfect. The action is medium fast, I find it's best with a DT5. Just a fantastic trout rod that exudes craftsmanship. Sold in the original bag and brass capped tube. Dana's rods are rarely seen on the secondary market, and his waiting list is substantial; don't hesitate on this one!
