Hardy - St. George 3" Fly Reel - LHW

For sale here is a very rare 3" Hardy St. George in LHW. This appears to be an early post-WWII reel with bright spool, leaded finish, straight-line lettering and Monel line guard. Excellent original condition. Ribbed brass foot, rim mounted tension adjuster and 3-screw spool latch. The leaded finish remains very dark, I doubt the reel has seen much use. Weight is 5.88oz, and the inside of the frame bears the maker's initials J.S. (Jimmy Smith). Leaded LHW St. Georges almost never come up for sale, this is truly a rare find.
