For sale here is an 11'6" 3-piece / 2-tip, spliced joint bamboo spey rod built by Forrest Koponen. Made on a Waara taper blank, the rod is in excellent used condition. Oversized snake guides are wrapped with crimson thread. 12.5" foregrip and 5" fixed butt with black anodized uplocking reel seat. All sections are straight and full length, and all sections feature red thread wraps with black markings for ease of alignment while taping the sections together. Spliced joints offer the feel of a one-piece rod without the logistical considerations of a long rod. This rod was built to fish 450-500grn Scandit heads, though it would probably throw longer bodied lines just as well. Sold with cloth rod sock and black anodized aluminum tube.
