For sale here is an H.L. Leonard Duracane 7'6" 2/2 5wt impregnated bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Serial #312, probably made around 1979/1980. Medium tempered cane with lightly oxidized guides wrapped in transparent honey windings. Brown and black accents at the ferrules and winding check. All sections are full length & serialized, and the tips each have slight fish fighting sets (one is worse than the other). 13/64 ferrules fit perfectly. All the writing remains clear and crisp in Tom Maxwell's distinctive script. Lithe 5" grip with nickel silver checks and blued cap & ring reel seat over mortised wood spacer. All the hardware shows moderate bluing loss, and a few of the wraps have some minor fraying at the edges. Medium action, best with a DT5. A fine Duracane from Maxwell's tenure at Leonard. Sold in the original bag with stiffener and brass capped tube.
