For sale here is an 8' 3-piece 5wt "Spruce Creek" fiberglass rod made by Mike McFarland. Serial #1013. Excellent+ condition, the rod has seen little use. Built on an unsanded translucent white blank with bright guides and white agate stripping guide wrapped in forest green windings. The sections are serialized, and the spigot ferrules fit snugly with gaps to allow for wear. 6" cork grip is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with a blued cap & ring reel seat over spalted wood spacer. A very popular taper from Mike, the 8' 3pc 5wt Spruce Creek is a smooth, full flexing taper. A versatile 5wt for dry flies, swinging soft hackles or even light streamer work.
