Winston, R.L. - 7' 2/2 4wt Bamboo Rod - SF-Era

For sale here is a SF-era Winston 7' 2/2 bamboo rod in excellent original condition. Serial #9506, made in 1969. 2 3/4oz scripted and actual weight, best with a 4 or 5wt line. Hollow fluted construction featuring medium tempered cane with bright guides wrapped in putty colored wraps and oxblood accents. All sections are straight, full length and serialized. Duronz ferrules fit perfectly. Strap & ring hook keeper, bakelite winding check and skeleton cork grip and reel seat with aluminum hardware. The pocketed butt cap is fixed with a bakelite baseplate. Medium fast action, a great small stream rod from Doug Merrick's tenure at Winston. Sold in the original bag and Champion tube (no label). From the collection of Thomas H. Clark.
