For sale here is a Brackett-era Winston 7' 3/2 3wt in excellent+ used condition. Caramel toned cane with dark oxidized guides and red agate stripper. Windings are transparent tan with dark tipping, and the ferrules are overwrapped. All sections are straight, full length and serialized (#3424), and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. Ferrules fit perfectly. Knurled nickel silver winding check over 6" cork grip and cap & ring reel seat over mortised wood spacer. By special request, the rod was built with blued hardware and guides, and the rod comes with a letter to that effect from Glenn Brackett. The cork is clean and smooth, and the only sign of use is a hint of bluing loss to the reel seat hardware. Scripted weight is 2 3/4oz, although my scale reads 3.30oz. A pleasant casting 3wt, on the medium side of medium fast. Sold in the original bag and tube.
