Winston, R.L. - 8' 3/2 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an 8' 4 1/8oz 3-piece / 2-tip 5wt Winston bamboo rod. Excellent+ used condition, Serial #2297 made in 1989 (Brackett-era). Featuring blonde cane and bright guides with carboloy stripping guide, all wrapped in transparent apricot windings & oxblood tipping. Duronz ferrules fit perfectly and are overwrapped on the females. All sections are straight, full length & serialized. Tips are marked for ease of rotation. Strap & ring hook keeper, 6.5" cork grip and down-locking aluminum reel seat over wood spacer. The cork at the top of the grip has just a hint of red staining from the bag. Scripted weight is 4 1/8oz, but it's a hair under that on my scale. Smooth, medium fast action, just a fine Brackett-era rod. Sold in the original red bag and brass capped brown enamel tube with beige Winston decal. From the collection of Thomas H. Clark.
