Winston, R.L. - 8'9" 2/2 8wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Winston 8'9" 2-piece / 2-tip 8wt bamboo rod in excellent+/near mint condition. Serial #2029, made in Montana in 1983 by Glenn Brackett. Hollow-fluted construction featuring medium tempered cane and 3x3 nodes. Bright guides and low bridge stripping guides, wrapped in transparent tan windings with oxblood accents. All sections are straight, full length and serialized. Overwrapped Duronz ferrules fit perfectly. Scripted weight is 4 7/8oz, actual weight is 5 1/4oz. Strap & ring hook keeper, nickel silver winding check, 7" grip (smooth and clean) and bright aluminum reel seat over walnut spacer. Action is on the medium side of medium fast. A great Steelhead taper from Winston, and this rod has no obvious signs of use. Sold in the original bag & tube with custom tube protector.
