For sale here is a Mario Wojnicki 88-7WF, 8'8" 3pc 7wt fiberglass rod in very good used condition. Built on an unsanded brown glass blank with bright guides & transparent windings. Spigot ferrules fit perfectly with gaps to allow for wear. 6.5" grip is smooth & soiled, and the rod is fitted with a black anodized reel seat and cork & micarta fighting butt. Weight is 4oz. This is one of Mario's personal rods, mostly used to target striped bass in the waters around the San Francisco Bay. Overall, the rod is in great shape, but the carbide stripping guide has small spots of salt corrosion around the bridges. I suspect this will clean up nicely with a soft brush and a bit of wax. Medium fast action with plenty of backbone, a very nice option for light saltwater fishing. Sold in the original bag and a vintage aluminum tube.
