For sale here is a Halstead 7'6" 2-piece / 2-tip 5wt bamboo rod in very good original condition. An unmarked rod, but clearly the work of George Halstead. Medium tempered cane with oxidized snake guides and hard chrome stripping guide. Dark golden-brown windings with red & green wraps at the tip tops for ease of rotation. The original owners name is faint, but legible on the butt section. U-shaped hook keeper, 6.5" cork grip (soiled and slightly ridged), and downlocking reel seat over dark wood spacer. Swiss-style ferrules fit perfectly, and the rod uses 2 difference styles of male ferrule. Sections are full length, and one tip has a slight set in the top 12". Weight is 4oz. A medium fast action 5wt, a nice Halstead trout rod. Sold in the original bag and Champion tube. From the collection of Thomas H. Clark.
