For sale here is a Hardy Perfect 3 3/4" widespool fly reel in excellent condition. This is a 1917 check reel with single pawl and circular writing around the spindle boss. RHW only. The reel features revolving nickel silver line guard, ivorine handle and gray leaded finish that has settled into a nice patina throughout. Bill Archuleta replaced the original alloy foot with a shorter smooth brass foot to accommodate modern reel seats, and the original full length foot is included in the sale. Minor signs of wear from honest use over the last 100+ years. The transitional 1917 check perfects are rather scarce, and this is as fine an example as you could wish to find. Ready to pair with your favorite two-handed rod.
