For sale here is a 3 3/8" 1912 check Hardy Perfect in excellent used condition. A very nice example, featuring smooth brass reel foot, strap over tensioner, nickel silver retaining screw and ivorine handle with smooth receiver cup. Tensioner works as intended and has excellent resistance throughout it's range. The smooth brass reel foot is 2.70" long and has some slight faceting at the ends, indicating it has been neatly filed. The leaded finish has worn evenly to a very nice patina, and the reel shows some cosmetic signs of use, including a few scratches on the spool face. Mechanically very tight, and a "5" is stamped on all parts. The winding plate bears the makers initials "JS" (Jimmy Smith). A great reel to fish or collect.
