Orvis - CFO II Fly Reel - Screwback

For sale here is a scarce Orvis CFO II screwback fly reel in excellent used condition. Made in England by Hardys. Originally released in the early 1970's, this "screwback" reel was made in the first few years of production. Fixed click & pawl drag can be fished RHW or LHW (currently set for RHW). Smooth alloy 3-hole foot, fully ventilated frame and spool with palming rim. Excellent condition throughout, the enamel finish shows only minor signs of wear. A previous owner scratched "5 DT F" next to the spindle screw and there is a name very lightly etched below "Orvis" on the same side. 2 9/16" diameter with a spool width of 11/16". Weight is 2.2oz, best with a 1/2/3wt line. Screwback CFO II's are not common, and this one is in great shape. Sold in an Orvis drawstring pouch. From the collection of Per G. Brandin
