For sale here is an Orvis Deluxe 7' 2-piece / 2-tip impregnated bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Rated as a 6wt, but it’s better with a DT5 and some may even prefer a 4wt line. Medium toned, impregnated cane with oxidized snake guides and carbide stripping guide. Wraps are transparent caramel. Blued 11/64 ferrules fit perfect. All sections are straight, full length & serialized (#31604). All script on the rod remains bold and clear. The rod is fitted with Orvis' standard "superfine" grip & reel seat with dual slide bands. The cork shows some soiling and light ridging, especially where the slide bands dug into the cork on the top of the reel seat. Scripted and actual weight is 2 5/8oz. A beautifully preserved Deluxe, made in 1962. Action is on the medium side of medium fast. Sold in the original bag and gold tube with blue & white data label affixed.
