Powell, E.C. - 9' 3/2 7wt Semi-Hollow Bamboo Rod (C-Taper)

For sale here is an E.C. Powell 9' 3/2 7wt C-taper, semi-hollow bamboo rod in very good used condition. Medium toned cane with "2-opposed" nodes, snake guides and red agate stripping guide, all wrapped in bronze-gold windings. All sections are straight & full length, and the ferrules fit perfectly. All ferrules appear to have been reset/rewrapped, and the rest of the wraps are original. Patent number on the butt remains clear and clear. Black & white signature wraps indicating semi-hollow, cedar core construction, and small u-shaped hook keeper. 6.25" grip show some soiling and moderate ridging. Standard aluminum reel seat with Marysville CA stamp and black Bakelite spacer. Weight is 4.73oz. I mic'd this rod and it measures as a C-taper, but it has slightly faster action and a stronger butt than I would expect on a 9' C-taper. It feels like a DT7 will be perfect. Sold in the original olive bag and brass capped tube. There are shadows of tape around where the shipping label would have been, but all that remains is a minuscule corner of green & white paper.
