For sale here is a beautiful 8'6" 5wt, 2-piece / 2-tip bamboo rod in mint condition from the bench of Jim Reams. Medium/dark tempered cane with 2-opposed node spacing, featuring lightly oxidized guides wrapped in caramel silks and mahogany tipping. All sections are straight and full length, and both tips are serialized and marked for ease of rotation. Truncated Swiss-style ferrules fit perfectly. 6" Powell-style grip with blued slide band reel seat over mortised burl spacer. The rod is in mint, un-fished condition. Jim Reams is well known for his innovative hollow building and focus on performance & aesthetics. The 8'6" 5wt is a tremendous dry-fly rod, with action on the faster side of medium-fast.
