For sale here is a Don Schroeder 7'3" 2-piece / 2-tip, 4-5wt bamboo rod in very good used condition. Medium flamed cane with bright snake guides and carbide stripping guide wrapped in transparent brown windings with darker accents. All sections are straight, full length and serialized (#4489). Second tip is an older replacement from the maker. Swiss-style ferrules fit perfectly, and the female is fitted with a knurled aluminum and cork ferrule plug. Slightly swelled butt, strap & ring hook keeper, and 5.9" cork grip (smooth with light soiling). Bright cap & ring reel seat over mortised wood spacer. The butt cap retains the maker’s stamp. Weight is 4.05oz. A nimble, progressive action rod, it casts nicely with both 4 and 5wt lines. Don is a master of the craft with many decades of experience, this rod is as fishable today as it was on day one. Sold in the original bag with stiffener and brass capped tube.
