For sale here is a St. Leonard 8'6" 7 wt Bamboo Fly Rod. 2 piece, 2 tips, custom built for M. Kerridge, in very good used condition. Lightly tempered cane with agate stripping guide & tip tops, low bridge guides throughout with dark chestnut windings. Spiral script below the agate stripping guide reads "St. Leonard Reg'd - Oxford, GB". 7" full wells grip is slightly soiled and the rod is fitted with an up-locking aluminum reel seat over bakelite spacer. Blacked brass ferrules fit well and the varnish shows some minor scuffs and scratches from use. Quite a stout rod that throws a 7wt line with authority. Would be a fabulous rod for larger freshwater species or for schoolie stripers in the surf. Sold with ferrule plug, aluminum tube and cloth rod bag (only 2 compartments).
