Vance, Chris - Model 844, 8'4" 2/2 4wt Hollowbuilt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an 8'4" 4wt, 2-piece / 2-tip hollowbuilt bamboo rod from the bench of Chris Vance. Excellent+ condition, serial #316, made in 2016. Featuring darkly flamed cane with light wire snake guides and Mildrum stripping guide, wrapped in dark chestnut windings with black tipping. Truncated Swiss ferrules fit perfectly, and the female is fitted with a bamboo and cork ferrule plug. All sections are straight, full length and serialized, and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. 3.09oz scripted and actual weight. 5.5" grip is smooth with just a hint of soiling. Knurled cap & ring reel seat over mortised mahogany spacer. The rod has seen light use and has been very well cared for. A nimble 4wt on the faster side of medium fast. It's light in the hand and handles DT and WF lines. Chris Vance is well known for making very refined hollowbuilt rods, and they don't often hit the secondary market. Don't wait on this one.
