Vance, Chris - Model 864-3, 8'6" 3/2 4wt Hollowbuilt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Chris Vance 8'6" 3-piece / 2-tip 4wt hollowbuilt bamboo rod. Serial #621, as-new condition. Medium flamed cane with lightly oxidized snake guides and Mildrum stripping guide wrapped in light brown silks with dark accents. Signature wraps at 18" & 20". All sections are straight, full length and serialized. Ferrules fit perfectly and the females are fitted with machined aluminum & cork ferrule plugs. Scripted and actual weight is 3.4oz. 5.9" cork grip is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with a cap and ring reel seat over mortised mahogany spacer. The rod has been lawn cast, but appears mint. Light in the hand, the action is on the faster side of medium fast. Perfect with a DT or WF4. Chris Vance is well known for making refined hollowbuilt rods, and they don't often hit the secondary market. Don't wait on this one.
