For sale here is an 8'6" 2pc / 3-tip 6wt hollow built bamboo rod from the bench of Chris Vance. Ex+/near mint condition. Dark flamed cane with lightly oxidized guides and red agate stripping guide wrapped in transparent brown windings. All sections are straight, full length and serialized. Micro-Swiss ferrules fit perfectly. The 3rd tip is marked "HT" (heavy tip) and is noticeably stronger than the other two. Cork is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with a blued cap & ring reel seat over mortised mahogany spacer. An authoritative 6wt with very fast action. Incredibly light in the hand, the rod weighs just under 3.5oz with the standard tips (just over 3.5oz with the stronger 3rd tip). Sold in the original bag and tube with maker's decal affixed.
