For sale here is a Chris Vance 9' 2-piece / 2-tip 5wt hollow built bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Medium flamed cane with oxidized guides and red agate stripping guide. Transparent brown windings with dark accents and narrow signature wraps at 18" and 20" from the butt. The tips are book-matched with "2-opposed" node spacing, and all sections are straight and full length. Micro-Swiss ferrules fit perfectly, and the female is fitted with a cork and aluminum ferrule plug. Strongly swelled butt leads into the 6" cork grip (clean and lightly soiled) and blued cap & ring reel seat over mahogany spacer. All the reel seat hardware is knurled, and the butt cap shows some light wear to the bluing. Serial #124, scripted and actual weight is 3.8oz. A fast action dry fly rod, incredibly light in the hand and extremely responsive. A real accomplishment in a 9 footer! The rod has seen a season's use and is ready for more. Sold in the original bag and tube with custom brass hardware and canvas tube protector.
