For sale here is an R.L. Winston 9'6" 3/2 8wt bamboo rod. Serial #4098, made in Montana in 2009. Golden blonde cane with dark guides and red agate stripper, wrapped in transparent blonde windings with oxblood tipping. All sections are straight, full length and serialized. Strap & ring hook keeper, knurled nickel silver checks and up-locking nickel silver reel seat over mortised wood spacer. 6.5" full wells grip and 1.5" fixed fighting butt. All the cork is bright and clean, the rod has been lawn cast but remains essentially mint. Scripted weight is 5 7/8oz but my scale reads 5.96oz. Medium fast action, this is a powerful rod designed for turning over big flies and heavy tips. A great Winston rod, ready to chase steelhead, salmon, musky, etc. Sold in the original bag and tube.
