For sale here is an Orvis Penn's Creek 7' 2/2 4wt impregnated bamboo rod in mint condition. Blonde impregnated cane with bright guides and carbide stripper. Wraps are dark burgundy with black tipping. Bright 12/64 ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are straight, full length & serialized (#90703). 6" western grip with knurled nickel silver checks. Nickel silver slide band reel seat over a gorgeous burl spacer with cork insert. The rod has been lawn cast but I see no evidence it was ever fished; it appears in as-delivered condition. Scripted weight is 3 5/8oz but my scale reads a hair over at 3 3/4". A true 4wt in my hands, the rod has a gently swelled butt and medium fast, dry fly action. Sold in the original bag and tube with black & gold C.F. Orvis data label.
