Simroe, Ted - 8' 3/2 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an 8' 3-piece / 2-tip 5wt bamboo rod from the bench of Ted Simroe. Model 3805. Honey toned cane with 3x3 nodes, bright guides and transparent bronze windings with hunter green tipping. Bright nickel silver ferrules fit perfectly. All sections are straight, full length and serialized (#763), and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. Strap & ring hook keeper, 6" cork grip (clean and smooth), and down-locking reel seat over dark spacer. Weight is 4.66oz. A fine 5wt, on the medium side of medium fast. Ted Simroe is perhaps best known for his work with the H.L. Leonard Rod Co, and the rods he has made under his own name carry his decades of experience and knowledge. This 8-footer is in excellent used condition and ready to fish. Sold in the original bag and brass capped tube.
