For sale here is an 8' 2/2 3wt Hollow Built hex from the bench of Bill Taylor. A new rod from the maker, this is his Les Young Special model. Medium toned cane with bright snake guides and red agate stripper, wrapped in golden olive windings with red tipping. All sections are straight, full length & serialized (#62504). Bright nickel silver ferrules fit perfectly, and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. 6" grip is smooth and bright, and the rod is fitted with a slide band reel seat over spalted spacer and cork butt cap. Weight is 3.25oz. A pleasant 3wt with medium fast, semi-parabolic action. Originally designed for the Letort, this rod feels like it would be home on just about any spring creek. Sold in the original bag and tube with the maker's decal affixed.
