Thomas & Thomas - Midge 7'6" 2/2 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Thomas & Thomas Midge 7'6" 2/2 5wt bamboo rod in excellent original condition. Built on a wheatstraw golden blank with 3x3 nodes and matte, impregnated finish. Translucent tan windings with dark brown accents. All sections are straight, full length & serialized (#3118), and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. Blued ferrules fit perfectly. Prominent swelled butt, 5.85" cork grip and up-locking aluminum reel seat over walnut spacer. The T&T roll stamp is crisp and clear on the reel seat collar, and the cork remains smooth with light soiling. Weight is 4.20oz. Medium fast, dry fly action. Very nice original condition, the rod has seen little use and is ready for service. Sold in the original bag with stiffener and brass capped tube. Advertising notes on the Midge rods from T&T's 1979 catalog: "It is a relatively fine tipped, fast actioned dry fly rod, which generates a high line speed, exceptional loop formation and deliberate, teacup accuracy. The Midge rods are capable of pinpoint delivery of the lighter fly lines, and are best suited to dry fly work with flies from size 12 or 14 down to midges"
