For sale here is San Francisco-era Winston 6'6" 2-piece / 2-tip, 2 3/8oz bamboo rod. Serial #9624. One original tip and one tip that looks like a later replacement/addition by Winston. The rod features bright guides with carboloy stripper, putty colored wraps with oxblood accents. Each section is full length & serialized, and second tip has a minute set. Duronz ferrules fit perfectly, and the female was recently reset & rewrapped by Glenn Brackett. Scripted and actual weight is 2 3/8oz. Strap & ring hook keeper, Bakelite winding check and all cork grip & reel seat with aluminum slide band. The cork is smooth with a hint of soiling. Medium fast action, I like it with a 3 or 4wt. A fine light trout rod, made shortly before Winston moved from San Francisco to Twin Bridges. Sold in the proper red bag and aluminum tube with 85% label.
