Winston, R.L. - 7'6" 2/1 4wt (3oz) Bamboo Rod (ON HOLD)

For sale here is a San Francisco-era Winston 7'6" 2-piece / 1-tip 3oz bamboo rod in excellent original condition. Serial #9474, made in the late 1960's during Gary Howells' tenure. Medium tempered cane, bright guides and putty colored wraps with red accents. Duronz ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections full length, straight & serialized. The original owners name is inked on the butt section, along with Winston's patent number for hollow-fluting. Skeleton cork grip & reel seat is lightly soiled with just a hint of ridging. Bright aluminum slide band hardware with black composite butt cap. Scripted and actual weight is 3oz. I believe this taper fell under the "Light Trout" series, rather than the "Leetle Feller", even though it weighs 1/8oz less than the 7'6" Leetle Feller. Medium fast action, it feels like it will handle a DT4 or WF5. Fantastic condition throughout, a very nice SF-era Winston trout rod. Sold in the original red bag and aluminum tube with yellow & green Winston decal.
