For sale here is a C.W. Jenkins model GA70L in excellent used condition. 7' 2-piece / 2-tip, best with a 3 or 4wt. Darkly flamed cane with bright guides and blued ferrules. Wraps are semi-transparent gold, and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. Each section is straight, full length and serialized (#48), and the ferrules fit perfectly. Strap & ring hook keeper, nickel silver checks, and the 6" grip is smooth & clean. Knurled & blued cap and ring reel seat over mortised spacer, and the butt cap reads "The Jenkins Rod" at the base. Minor bluing loss to the nickel silver hardware. Weight is 3.42oz. Medium/medium-fast progressive action, I like it with a DT4 although some may prefer it with a front-loaded WF3. A fairly early Jenkins rod, used sparingly and very well cared for. Sold in the original bag and Champion-style tube with gold data decal.
