For sale here is a San Francisco-era Scott G85-5, 8'6" 5wt graphite fly rod. Serial #2973. 2-piece configuration, the rod is well used but remains in good condition. Featuring an un-sanded gray blank with bright guides wrapped in dark red windings with light accents. U shaped hook keeper with varnished cork windings check. All-cork grip and reel seat show significant soiling. Anodized reel seat hardware with black composite butt cap. A very nice 5wt, these early Scott graphite rods remain some of the best graphite tapers ever produced. Sold in the original bag (no tube).
