For sale here is a model 258V-5, 8'5" 2/2, 5-strip bamboo rod from Mario Wojnicki. Excellent used condition, marked as a 5wt but it's better with a DT4. Blonde toned cane with chrome guides wrapped in pale green windings. Resorcinol glue lines. All sections are straight and full length, and the blued Swiss-style ferrules fit perfectly. Tips are marked for ease of rotation. 6.25" grip is soiled but smooth, and the reel seat is made of two pieces of dark wood with nickel silver slide band. Medium fast, semi-parabolic action. Weight is 3.5oz. Made for Per Brandin while he and Mario shared shop space in the East Bay in the 1990's. The rod has seen some time on the water but was well cared for and remains in great shape. Sold in the original bag and brass capped tube. From the collection of Per G. Brandin.
